We had the best fishing trip of a life time with Ryan and we came from the bass fishing Capitol of the world, Lake Seminole to fish with him! Ryan, you need a prize for the couple that comes from the farthest away! We will be back later this year. Thank you for a great fishing trip. Matt Shermoen and Ryan Schmidt started working at Rainy Lake Houseboats as fifteen-year-old dock boys. Both young men developed a keen love for Rainy Lake and fishing. Ryan and Matt soon became members of the famous Rainy Lake Houseboats guide staff. They trained with me (Billy Dougherty) and Bob Jornlin. They are excellent guides; they bring great integrity, super knowledge of all fish species that Rainy Lake has to offer, and possess great people skills!
